May 2020
Dear Friends of TwoCor,
What a long, strange Spring season it’s been! We hope this letter finds you all safe and healthy. As the world changes, so does TwoCor, but we remain committed to serving at-risk youth in the Pikes Peak region.
Last month, TwoCor’s leadership made the difficult decision to reduce our number of staff members. As we followed state guidelines and regulations, we refrained from face-to-face contact with youth, and used this time to get creative and work on often overlooked projects. While we are missing the daily hustle and bustle of youth and staff in our buildings, our newly re-finished floors have never looked so good! We are also excited to introduce a complete overhaul of our website, where we will be better able to keep our partners and followers connected to the happenings at TwoCor.
We are aware of the sobering statistics of the Coronavirus and the challenges faced by so many in our community. TwoCor will continue to be a supportive resource for youth and families, and we are happy to announce that we have added treatment foster care to our menu of services. As we work towards a “new normal,” this will allow us to provide the same quality, trauma-responsive healing efforts to include intensive foster care for teens as well. We welcome any of you who feel called to this lifestyle work to contact us! We are currently recruiting and training potential foster families and homes and would love to speak with anyone interested in learning more.
We are grateful for your friendship to TwoCor, and we pray for the health and safety of all, this day and the days to come.
